So, one hand holding his hand and one on the steering, I feel grateful that its an automatic car. Grateful that I have a car to drive, grateful that my son is sitting right next to me, grateful that he has grown into such a lovely boy, grateful that he is attending school, grateful that I am not sick, grateful that I have a job, grateful that I have friends, grateful that I have a mother in-law to look after the small one at home (very important!), grateful that I don't have to cook or bake (not good a cooking and baking), grateful that I have a loving husband (though can be ngiu chee! sometimes), grateful that I still do my reading without the need for eye glasses, grateful that I still have some healthy teeth, grateful for the rain and sun today, grateful, grateful for a lots of things.........

Goodbye 2007 and welcome 2008. Lot of us will be looking forward to a great new year ahead including me. Year 2007 was not so great for me in terms of making money online. Towards the last two months of last year, I was kept busy by work and my other hobby (Wire Jewelry) that I hardly have time to update this blog.
So, this year I will try to work harder although I am not sure how yet. Anyway, judging by last year's workload, I would still be busy at the office until at least the second quarter of this year.....hmmmmm! :(
This means I will have less time to try to make money online...:(
Nevertheless, think positive and the year ahead will be great!

When I first started, I thought I should have the time to spare for things like trying to earn money online but this turn out to be a struggle with all the other matters that need to be taken care of in my everyday life. First of all there is my full time job that requires my "full time" really. Once in a while I am required to travel for few days. If I am required to travel to places where there is no internet access, I would not be able to do the usual things like checking my emails, posting entries into my blogs, pay my bills online, etc. etc. Once I am back to civilization, I will have to spend so much time checking my mails and respond to them, catching up with other matters and these normally left me with just very little time to do my own things like spending time with the boys and "big boy". Joined another website last few days and set up my own shop. As I love crafts and arts, i named my shop Crafts in Fashion. I don't expect readers here will be interested with the stuffs on sale here but just want to buzz that this is a free to join site. You can set up your store in minutes. However, it takes longer time to fill up your store with items you want to sell. I spent about 10 hours doing that. There are hundreds of retailers and over two million products to choose from. After filling my store, the next step is to market my products. Actually, this is part of it but just an introduction. Blogging and How Much Money I Made

Some of you may wonder how much I have earned so far from my online blogging activities. So far, I have made about $250.00. Not much taking into consideration that I joined adsense late last year and PPP two months ago. Looking at this amount, it will not be enough to quit my day job and concentrate on my addiction – wire jewelry…..LOL. But, I welcome the additional pocket money. Who wouldn’t?

This blog has not been approved by PPP yet but I am working towards that as I found out that you can make good $ with PPP. Do you want to earn money from PPP? If yes, first of all you will need a blog and you must love what you are writing about in your blog. I have learned that the most profitable blogs are run by people who are committed and passionate about the topics of their blogs. Of course, there are technical sides (for newbies - e.g html, directories) that you need to learn, but it should not be treated as hindrance because all these you will learn if you are really serious about blogging. I started out blogging without knowing what blog is and have no idea that we can earn money online. After few months, I have learned the basics and that you actually can make money online. If I can do it, why not you? Maybe you will be more successful than me…..Yeh! You can start a blog in less than 10 minutes for free at blogger.com (blogspot) and Wordpress.com. There are more out there but I only listed these two in this entry because I am more familiar with them.

Been a while since I posted anything on online money making. I have not been very successful ("sigh") with the earlier one- PIPS. Mainly because a lot of the works that need to be done involved $$, and they are not small amount - considering they are US dollar.
Not to give up easily, I recently found and joined another internet business opportunity - Cognigen - if you have heard of it and have joined, I would like to know how you fare.

If you have no money or very small budget to start a business, I think Cognigen is a good place to start. I am definitely going to work harder on this one. Who knows, it may be the way to my financial freedom.

It is hard to get children to eat their vegetables. I know because I have two boys of my own. The elder one doesn't eat vegetable at all, except for potatoes and peas. The younger one is ok as he seems to have no problem with vegetable, yet. Among all the vegetables, sprouts are one of the least favorite vegetable. According to survey done by Birds Eye Children's Survey 2007, 77% of children cite "bad taste", smell and texture as some of the reasons for disliking sprouts. However, potatoes were voted the yummiest vegetable - can't deny that as my eldest love them. Corn follows behind closely.

I read an article on food combinations and how it may provide health boost that would be lost if either food was eaten in isolation. Here are a few food combinations which will benefit your health:

Unpeeled apples with berries – Chop the apples and toss them in a fruit salad that includes plenty of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. Research has shown that a combination of the quercetin in apple skin and the ellagic acid in berries kills human leukemia cells.

Tomatoes and broccoli – Research has shown that rats given one extract of tomato or broccoli showed some reduction in prostrate tumor size. However, those given the combination of both had the smallest tumor.

Cauliflower and Turmeric – Natural occurring chemical in them are found to have the ability to reduce the growth of cancerous tumors. Some prostrate cancer patients are now trying out this diet combination.

Kill bacteria in meats – marinating meats in vinegar kills bacteria and tenderizes the meat. Use quarter cup vinegar fro a 2-3 pound roast, marinate overnight, and then cook without draining or rinsing the meat. Add herbs to the vinegar when marinating as desired.

Relieve arthrities – Before each meal, drink a glass of water containing 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar. Give this remedy at least 3 weeks to start working.

Removing corns – make a poultice of 1 crumbled piece of bread soaked in quarter cup vinegar. Let poultice site for half an hour, then apply to the corn and tape in place overnight. If corn does not peel off by morning, reapply the poultice for several consecutive nights.

Cure an upset stomach – drink 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar in 1 cup water to soothe an upset stomach.

Kill germs on bathroom fixtures – use 1 part vinegar to 1 part water in a spray bottle. Spray the bathroom fixtures and floor, then wipe clean.

Relieve itching – use a cotton ball to dab mosquito and other bug bites with vinegar straight from the bottle.

Soothe sunburn pain – apply undiluted vinegar to the burn.

Cure hiccups – mix 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar in 1 cup of warm water and drink.

Hair conditioner – rinse washed hair with a mixture of 1 cup apple cider vinegar and 2 cups water. Vinegar restores the acid mantel and removes soap film and sebum oil from hair.

Wonder Product - Vinegar 1

Have you ever wonder what happens to the household cleaners that you wash down your drain or throw away? They contaminate our surface water, groundwater, soil, and food sources and generally our environment. Subsequently, it will affect our health and the health of our children. Maybe that is why there are rise in asthma and allergies in our society these days. Fortunately, we can reverse these effects. How, you may ask? The solution is homemade natural household cleaners. Baking Soda was mentioned two days ago.

Today, I would like to draw your attention to another natural product which is very useful as an alternative solution to your household problems. The star of the days is Vinegar. Here are some of the things you can do with vinegar.

As a cleaning agent:

Clean the hoses and unclog soap scum from washing machine – Once a month, pour 1 cup of white vinegar into the washing machine and run the machine through a normal cycle, without clothes.

Clean soap scum, mildew and grime from bathtub, tile and shower curtains – simply wipe the surface with vinegar and rinse with water.

Clean lime deposits and calcium sludge from an automatic drip coffee maker – Once a month, fill the reservoir with white vinegar and run through the brew cycle. Rinse thoroughly with 2 cycles of cold water.

Clean food-stained pots and pans – fill the pots and pans with white vinegar and let stand for 30 minutes. Then rinse in hot, soapy water.

Keep garbage can clean and smelling fresh – mix 1 cup of vinegar in enough water to fill an ice cube tray, freeze the mixture, grind the cubes through the disposal, and flush with cold water.

Clean toilet bowl – Pour in 1 cup of white vinegar, let it stand for 5 minutes, and flush.

Clean dentures – Soak dentures overnight in white vinegar, and then brush away tartar with a toothbrush.

Deodorise the air – Place a small bowl of white vinegar in the room or spray the room with vinegar.

Eliminate odors from jar – rinse jar with white vinegar.

Multipurpose Cleaner - Baking Soda 3

This is the third and last part of what you can do with Baking Soda.
Soothe insect bites – Make a paste of BS and water, and apply to the affected area.

Soothe sunburn and prickly heat – dissolve half cup BS in a tepid bath. Soak in the bath for 15 minutes.

Relaxing bath – dissolve half cup BS in a tub of warm water for relaxing bath.

Tooth paste alternative – BS cleans like toothpaste. Apply BS to a damp toothbrush, brush as usual and rinse.

Mouth wash – add 1 teaspoon BS to half glass warm water, and swish through teeth for a refreshing mouthwash.

Sooth tired feet – add 3 tablespoon BS to a basin of warm water and soak feet in the solution.

Remove crayon marks from walls – sprinkle BS on a damp sponge, scrub gently, then wipe clean.

Remove styling gel build up from hair – wash hair once a week with 1 tablespoon of BS mixed with your regular shampoo; rinse thoroughly, then condition and style as usual.

Whitening agent – add half cup BS to regular liquid laundry detergent.

De-grease and clean barbecue grills – make a paste by mixing equal parts of BS and water, apply with a wire brush, wipe clean, and dry with cloth.

Baking Soda for Deodorising:

Septic Tank – Flush 1 cup of BS down the toilet once a week. It helps to maintain proper pH and alkalinity, controlling sulphide odours.

Cloth diapers – Mix half cup BS in 2 quarts of water, and soak diapers in the solution.

Dishwashers – Sprinkle half cup of BS on the bottom of the dishwasher between loads.

Food containers – Mix half cup BS with 1 quart water, swish food containers in solution, soak overnight, and then rinse clean.

Kitchen garbage – Sprinkle BS in the garbage pail each time you add garbage.

Carpet – Sprinkle SB lightly over the dry carpet, let site for 15 minutes, then vacuum up.

Cat litter box – Cover bottom of the litter box with quarter inch BS then add the litter.

Odour fm vomit - Sprinkle SB generously over the stained area, let sit for an hour, then vacuum up.

Deodarant – Dust BS under arms.

Dirty laundry – Sprinkle some BS into your laundry bag.

Closet – Place an open box of BS on the shelf.

Garment storage bags – Sprinkle BS into the bottom of the bag.

Shoes – Sprinkle BS inside shoes. Shake out after few hours.

Car carpet – Sprinkle BS on the carpet, let sit for 15 min, then vacuum up.

Have you ever calculated how much money we spend daily or monthly on household cleaning products? And do you notice that there are different types of products for different purpose - eg. product A for the cleaning the sink, product B for cleaning the tiles, product C for cleaning the toilet bowl, and so on and on. It has been part of our life and we are conditioned from young to use this products that we don't even know how much we spend on them and I guess we couldn't be bothered as its a "necessity".
However, there is one household item product which is effective in your home for combating odors, cleaning and sanitizing. This item is BAKING SODA or also known as Bicarbonate of Soda. It is cheap and most important of all because it is a natural substance that will not harm you, your family or the environment. Baking soda can be eaten as it is used in a huge variety of foods that we eat everyday.
Here are list of the cleaning jobs Baking Soda can do for you:
Cleaning stainless steel sink, bathroom tiles, bathtub or shower, refrigerator, cutting board, stoves, laminated table tops, linoleum floors and tiles, chairs, car seats, strollers and plastic materials - sprinkle baking soda (BS from here on) on damp sponge, scrub and rinse clean.

Clean baby bottles, nipples and bottle brushes - Soak in solution of warm water and BS, then sterilise before use.

Remove tarnish from silver - Mix a thick paste of BS with water, apply to the silver with damp sponge, rub, rinse and buff dry.

Boost the strength of liquid laundry detergent - Add half cup of BS with the usual amount of detergent in your regular wash cycle.

Boost the strength of dishwashing liquid - Add 2 full tablespoons Bicarbonate of Soda to the usual amount of detergent use.

Remove coffee or tea stains from china - Dip a damp cloth in BS, gently rub the china, rinse and clean.

Clean dirt from hands - Sprinkle BS on to wet hands; with liquid soap, rub vigorously, rinse and dry.

Internet, you need 3 "intangibles." These are things that
must come from WITHIN you.

===> Intangible 1 <===

First, you must have a strong WHY.

Why must you make affiliate marketing work? What is driving
you? What is it that you CAN'T have in your life anymore
and/or what is it that you absolutely MUST HAVE now?

For me, I couldn't stand working 12+ hours a day anymore
and missing the experience of my children growing up. I also
absolutely HAD TO HAVE the freedom of being able to control
my life and finances through a little box that I could carry
with me anywhere in the world and not be tied to anyone's
time pressures or demands but my own. That was my carrot and
my stick. I felt a great pain deep in my gut of missing out
on my children's lives and the incredible freedom that
succeeding in this business would provide for me. I found my
why. You MUST find yours.

ground. However, on the Internet you can often start a

Google Adsense - Earning while Learning

Who doesn’t know about Google Adsense? Raised your hands please! We see adsense everywhere – blogs and websites alike. In fact I have it on my pages as well – notice those tiny ads with the little ‘ads by google’ notice beneath them. Google adsense is a small business advertising options created by Google and is one way for website owners to earn passive income from advertisements.

Once your site is approved as "publishers", you will be given some html code from Google that you need to place on your web pages. This will ensure you receive targeted ads on your website. If you look at my page here, most of the ads displayed are related to making money on line as this blog is devoted to “Trying 2 Earn Money Online”.

Now, how do I make money from Adsense? It is quite easy and you do not even have to do anything once you have implemented the code properly. The way it works is when a visitor to your site decides to check out one of those ads, the web site owner earns a portion of the advertising revenue that Google collects. This can be very lucrative if done correctly. But dont ask me the correct way as I am still learning. There are also websites not geared towards earning income but has transformed into solid income producing businesses through Google Adsense. I do not mind that.

HAVING SAID THAT, having Google adsense on your website doesn’t guarantee you will start making lots of money because, you need traffic/visitors, lots of them I must say and they must click on the ads in order for you to start making money………

NEVERTHELESS, with Google AdSense you have virtually nothing to lose. If you have not yet installed AdSense on your website, give it a thought. Any free space within your web pages can be used to accommodate AdSense to generate additional income.

Yippi! I received my first payment from PPP last night…….It is my first money made online from my other blog - Wire Bliss. I have not submit this blog for PPP yet as it is quite new but if you are interested to try making money thru PPP, click on the banner on my Wire Bliss page – It is on the right hand side of the page. Look for the small blue square (get paid to blog about the things you love!) under “Revenues”.

Although the amount I got is not much but it’s a start. So, who said you can’t make money on line?

And yes, you may have noticed that I changed the title of this blog to “Try 2 Earn Money Online” because that is exactly what I am trying to do at the moment. Oh well, for the last few months to be exact. I must admit it is not easy trying to make money online although I have heard some successful stories (or have I been taken for a ride?!!).

Needless to say, I feel very encouraged with the first payment and looking forward to put in more time, effort and energy towards this goal of mine. Most important of all I need to be PATIENCE and with a little bit of help from LUCK, I may just find what I am looking for. It's not going to be an overnight thing nor there be shortcuts but I guess, there must be ways and opportunities out there.

Rambling about E-marketing

It has been few weeks since I last posted here. Need to get my mind focus here and it is the most difficult thing to do. It is currently scattered all over and I don’t even know where to start. Mainly I have myself to blame. That would be a good start.

I started this blog because I was fascinated with e-marketing and claims made by people or “gurus” who are making 5, 6, 7 figures income on autopilot. Isn’t that interesting? I mean here I am working my butt off with my full time job (it’s not a dream job but enough to sustain us month in month out) and there is a possibility that I can earn more on autopilot!!!!. There is one that sounds like this “Fire Your Boss”. Wow! I hope my boss didn’t read this but that is what I hope to do one day (Boss, if you read this, this is only my imagination running wild – I am a creative person after all…LOL).

See, what am I rambling about here?

Anyway, blogging exposed me to e-marketing. The question I ask myself when I read these testimonials are “Really ah?”. So, being me, I must/just have to try it out. Who knows what I will achieve?

So, for the past few weeks (of course on and of), I have been registering with all the “gurus” claiming such and such in making money online, whenever I have the opportunity to go online. What do I get you may ask? Well, for one I received tones of emails (I am over dramatic a bit here! *smiling*) offering “tones” of products or ebooks, free websites, etc! etc! claiming these and that. Sometimes I must say I am so very tempted to purchase. OK! I did purchase one or two but it didn’t help…..YET! I also downloaded some free ones somehow through links provided from these emails but due to my scattered brain *LOL* I can’t remember from which site/s.

Now, what have I achieved so far? Oh well…….no good news. My other site Wire Bliss performs better in terms of adsense income but still not enough to get my first check…..*scratching head*.

All these emails are driving me crazy! Maybe I should just unsubscribe all of them and FOCUS on one thing, like this blog. I am still considering. Better get organize now. There seems to be a lot to do but due to the flood of info..can’t concentrate anymore. This one is quoted from Jim Donovan’s ebook – Stop Living Paycheck to Paycheck:

E-Marketing - Newbie

I am sure a lot of us have heard about online business, or e-marketing or whatever they would like to name it. Well, I've heard about it many times before but never take it seriously until recently.
The lure of financial freedom is too great, especially at my age and especially with two little boys to think about. I am sure many people out there also dream about this --- FINANCIAL FREEDOM ----.
Will i succeed?
